For sites with metered hookups, ResortTribe calculates the usage charge from two consecutive readings. You enter the meter, set a rate per unit, and log a reading each billing cycle.
Add a utility meter to a lease
- 1 Open the lease and go to Utility Meters.
- 2 Add a meter and choose the type: electric, water, or propane.
- 3 Set the unit (kWh, gal, etc.) and the rate per unit in dollars.
- 4 Save. The meter is now ready for readings.
Log a reading
- 1 Open the meter and select Add Reading.
- 2 Enter the current meter value and the date you read it.
- 3 ResortTribe subtracts the previous reading, multiplies by the rate, and queues the charge for the next invoice.
- First reading sets the baseline — no charge is generated until a second reading is logged
- Readings are stored permanently so you can audit usage history
- Propane tanks: enter gallons delivered rather than tank level, and set a per-gallon rate
Log readings on the same day each billing cycle. Consistent timing makes usage patterns easy to spot.
