The campground offers campsites for both tents and small trailers, and has five accessible campsites. Popular activities include; overnight camping for visitors traveling across the state, picnicking and exploring along the scenic byway. There is also an accessible, barrier-free, trail to Wetmore Campground . Wildflowers, wildlife, birds and large old growth ponderosa ("yellow") pine can be seen during the hike.
