Built for use by national forest rangers circa 1920, the cabin is appropriate for experienced backpackers seeking remote lodging and a difficult hike-in. Access the cabin by a 3.2 mile uphill hike-in on Little Stony Creek Trail. When the trailhead is closed from February through April, park at the Wolf Gap Recreation Area Campground and attempt the 6.7 mile hike-in. This alternate route is not for the faint-hearted or novice hiker.
