Pipestem Area

This multi-use recreational area is operated and maintained by the Corps of Engineers and serves as the location of Pipestem Project Office. Recreational facilities include primitive camping areas, both flush and vault toilets, potable water, and picnic shelters. There are 12 miles of well-groomed hiking/biking/running trails. This area also includes acres of planted shelterbelts, grasslands, and wildlife food plots as well as wooded draws which serve as an excellent habitat area for an abundance of wildlife. The lake and downstream creek areas offer year-round fishing opportunities for walleye, northern pike, perch, and crappie.
