At an elevation of 7,600 feet, the campground is located in thick stands of pines with the Left Fork of Huntington Creek running through the campground. The 6-mile Left Fork of the Huntington National Recreation Trail, for hiking and horses, begins in the campground, and the 10-mile Fish Creek National Recreation Trail, for hiking, biking, and horses is nearby.
